The Ecodesign Learning Factory was developed during the "EcoDesign Circle" as an intensive introduction to ecodesign and Circular Economy. On 24th and 25th Oct this training course was held in St. Petersburg by leading European experts in this field from Finland and Germany and organised by our Russian partner - Medina Art. More than 30 participants from Saint Petersburg, Tallinn and Helsinki took part and represented the spheres of education, design, business and sustainable development. At the premises of Okhta Lab they experienced an approach combining design thinking and life cycle thinking. The participants were divided into small teams that worked over two days to find circular solutions for everyday products, such as sneakers and umbrellas.
Representatives of one enterprise from the furniture sector want to go one step further and design and develop furniture according to circular economy principles for the market.
